It is weird but also natural that these sites lost their mainstream alure somewhere in the early 2000s. There were different medias and technologies which the first personal websites were created in, basically the original internet. Nowadays we have T*kt*k and Inst*gr*m, which on the surface looks like to be super duper personal and representative of the person pushing the content into the ether. But as you probably know, if you are reading this here, this is often not the case. The only true and original poasters online is the boomer generation, but even those smug bastards are starting to be less authenitc.
That is however my goal with this personal website: personal and authentic stuff.
